Tozer started breeding Leeks in the 1970's when we first identified the male sterile character that makes hybrid production possible. However it took until the 1990's that the method to use this character was determined. The parent lines of all our hybrid varieties have been chosen carefully to give excellent uniformity, vigour and good disease resistance particularly rust. We have hybrid and open pollinated varieties to please the most discerning grower.
