How is postage calculated?

Postage is calculated according to the destination the order is to be delivered to (UK or Europe) as well as the type of delivery you select (Normal or Express). Standard delivery is FREE for orders of seeds to the UK over £10. For orders under £10 delivery is £1.65

Certain other products may have an additional postage charge to cover excess weight. This is clearly marked against the product information.

Are Tozer Seeds genetically modified?

Tozer Direct does not supply vegetable varieties that have either been developed or produced using biotechnological techniques known as genetic modification. Consequently we can assure you that seeds supplied now or in the foreseeable future by Tozer Direct have been developed using traditional techniques and do not contain, neither can be construed as genetically modified organisms.

Can you guarantee seed germination?

The germination of all seed supplied by Tozer Seeds Direct is regularly checked in our seed testing facility to ensure that it is of a high standard before it is sold. All our seed germination standards will meet and exceed those listed in the current UK seed regulations.

How are your seeds stored?

Our seed warehousing facilities are temperature and humidity controlled in order to maintain the best possible conditions for seed storage. To store seed after purchasing it is best to do so in a cool dark place, please be aware that even in the best storage conditions the ability of seed to germinate can be lost very quickly and we advise customers not to store seed for more than 1 year.

Can you make orders to outside the EU?

Unfortunately, due to current regulations we can only deliver to addresses inside the European Union

What are seed treatments and forms

Tozer Seeds Direct now offers seeds with a range of treatments and/or forms. These include:

Organic Seed.
Where the seeds have been produced organically.

Untreated Seed.
This has no chemical treatment applied.

Treated Seed
The seeds may be treated with fungicide, insecticide or both.

Natural Seed
Raw seed with no grading

Graded Seed
Raw seed that has been graded to a size range to be more uniform for drilling.

Precision Seed
Raw seed that has been graded and the germination & vigour is higher.

Pelleted seed
Raw seed with a coating to make the seed easier to drill. These can be either treated or untreated.

Coated seeds
Seeds which have been coated with a polymer incorporating a chemical treatment.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept payment on-line with all major credit and debit cards.

What will happen with my personal details?

We promise to keep your personal details safe at all times and will never pass them on to anyone else. For more information, please read our privacy policy

How secure are my credit card details?

All our payments go through WorldPay, which as part of the Royal Bank of Scotland, is one of the most secure on-line trading companies around. WorldPay supports the full range of fraud-prevention methods including online transaction authorisation, cardholder verification (i.e. via Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code), and Address Verification Service (AVS).

In addition, WorldPay has developed several in-house anti-fraud tools that are designed to avoid hassle and minimise financial loss (including the WorldPay Guarantee which can protect you against financial loss due to fraud).

I am having problems making an order and have seen a message about Cookies

The Tozer Seeds Direct website saves information about your basket and order details using cookies. Occasionally a computer's privacy settings can stop us from saving your basket information using these cookies. This can leave you unable to make a purchase from Tozer Seeds Direct.

We are working to solve this problem but in the meantime here is a simple guide to enabling cookies on your computer

What is your returns policy?

We can only accept the return of seed if it is returned in its original packaging with seals unbroken and in an undamaged condition within 5 business days of delivery.
